20.0 The Romusha

What started out (for me at least) as what I have termed a ‘side-story’ has taken on a life of its own.

I have decided to reconfigure the sections to dedicate this one to these Asian workers.

First I think we need to come to an agreement on how we will refer to them in the collective sense. Having looked briefly into the etymology of the term ROMUSHA, I believe that it retains both the underlying concept and historical perspective to continue to use is even if it has a somewhat derogatory connotation.

I COULD be persuaded otherwise, with a proper argument.
